This place kept popping up in 4WD mags, about how good the 4WDing was and how close but remote it was from Sydney. It’s not that often that we head the south coast of Sydney so we went with expectations of a great campsite and plans of tackling the famed Monkey Gum Fire Trail. Well it rained and became a quagmire and it wasn’t anywhere near as nice as we had pictured. Of course we had the drama, but even without that it didn’t inspire us for a revisit.
