Hand Signals

Just sorting out the photos which I plan to use when adding new material to the site and I notice one thing….the stupid hand signals that kids use when a photo is being taken. Why do they insist on doing this? I wish I had an answer as I would put a stop to it….does it annoy me??? YES. Is it necessary to make these gestures? Obviously is. Point in print below:

What would have been a lovely photo....ruined.
What would have been a lovely photo….ruined.
Oh, that would have been a really nice photo....ruined again.

A nice birthday photo...ruined...again.

Yes, I get the message that they think they are funny and cute….doesn’t cut the mustard with me though, not funny and not cute. I think it ruins what would be nice photos and there were so many photo’s that I didn’t put in for that reason. After doing a bit of research online, I discovered that the signal Kye does constantly is a signal as follows: “Originated in American Sign Language used by deaf and hearing culture. Done by extending the thumb, index finger, and little finger while the middle and ring finger touches the palm. Informal of love.” Little do I think that he even knows what it means.

Yet again, a lovely one of the girls.....ruined, not only this time by the hand signal, but by the face as well...cheer up mate, life can't be that hard as a 6 year old.

Now this is funny. They all climbed up there, but none could get down. Should have used the hand signal to sign for help instead!!!

Ok, Zarah is making the sign for Peace in this photo. Not sure she realises, that really, there is nothing more peaceful than standing on top of a dune, with no-one else around on Fraser Island. (Oh I guess the waves on the beach are a bit noisy, so maybe that's why she signed it!!!)

I have decided that they like seeing their faces on the website, so I’ve said that if they continue with their signals they they won’t be appearing on here anymore. I’ve had my rant. Maybe I should just start photo bombing their photo’s with a hand gesture they really wouldn’t appreciate seeing!!!!!
